Hello Beauties,

Normally I bother the lovely & talented Kari when I want something added to our blog, however today I think I went from "clueless blogger" to the "Hey I signed in successfully" blogger!

Any who!

Over this holiday weekend I had a few slip ups and I chose some crazy unhealthy foods. My emotions have been high and low more times than I can count, so I figured I need an ear to bend and what better place to get out these feelings than our blog! We are all here to keep each other on track and talk healthy, but what about those days or weekends (like this weekend) that aren't so great?

I have had almost 9/10 weeks of true and healthy clean eating. Of course there are the occasional indulgences, but nothing like this weekend. After the 9/10 weeks of healthy choices and a great exercise routine I fell off the wagon. A couple of my family members came in this weekend, one being an excellent chief. I told myself I was going to make healthy choices no matter what. If I wanted any of the cheese dips or blueberry french bread that had been baked I would have a smell or a tiny taste and walk away. I bought healthy items to create my own TIU approved meals, and though I made the "Chicks of the Beach" recipe I still couldn't keep my hands off the ribs. Needless to say I made some very poor choices and I was left feeling incredibly disappointed in myself.  I haven't been taking the time to share my meals and hold myself accountable. I feel like I let myself down, my body down, and you ladies down with my weekend binge.

I know this sounds like a cry fest and I dont mean for it to be, but I just needed to let this out! I want to keep on track and keep making healthy choices but this weekend has really been an up hill battle. I NEED a reboot! By reboot I mean I need the junk out of my house and I need to get back on track with my workouts.

It has been a challenging weekend to say the least but all I could think about was how much I wanted to tell you girls! I know even if I haven't been the best example of a Tone It Up girl this weekend I could still look to you ladies for support. You all mean so much to me!

OK, I am now done with my rant :) Love you all

Smoothie Sorbet (with Perfect Fit)!

Hello, my beauties! Sending you my love on the Fourth of July! I recently hosted an ice cream social as a "Farewell, Friends!" party for two lovely young men who are moving to Chile. I dove into the wild world of dairy free or dairy alternative ice cream options. And, well.... yuck! But, to be honest, I am from the holy land of ice cream, Vermont. What up, Ben & Jerry?

This afternoon, my wonderful boyfriend, Justin, and I decided to make a smoothie for lunch. First, we tossed all of our favorite frozen fruits in with two scoops of Perfect Fit. We looked at the blender and thought, does this really need any ice cubes?
Just a reminder, Justin and I live in Boulder so our elevation is much higher than anyone in NYC or Boston!
This is what we used for our Smoothie Sorbet!
- 1 to 1.5 cups almond milk
We tossed all these delicious ingredients into our Ninja blender and voila--a delicious dairy free ice cream alternative. Have leftovers? I put mine in a plastic to-go container and popped it into our freezer. I am thinking breakfast tomorrow!
Of course, add whatever fruits you love, even some chocolate if you would like! Maybe chia seeds? I'll certainly be adding watermelon next time.
Happy Fourth of July, Bombshell Beauties! I am so grateful for you every day.
Warmly,

Without any ice cubes, we tossed in some almond milk and turned that puppy on! Initially, it was super dry so we added some more almond milk and some coconut milk yogurt in as well.
This, although it helped with the dryness, just made our summer time sweet treat concoction very, very thick.
"It looks like ice cream!" I yelled in excitement. I, literally, scooped myself a bowl full and dove in. Didn't stop till the bowl was empty.
By messing around with our blender, Justin and I created a delicious dairy free ice cream with a punch of protein.

- 1 cup So Delicious Coconut Milk Yogurt

- 1.5 cups frozen peaches
- 1 frozen banana
- 1.5 cups frozen berries
- 2 scoops Perfect Fit
